I love designing jewelry with seed beads. So one day I was sitting and thinking what other unique ways I could use those tiny seed beads.
It came to me that I’ve always had an attraction to color
blends when it came to fabrics and yarn, so why not try creating color movement
in my bead work.
Of course I can’t buy every color of bead that might be
needed. Lucky for me, I found a book called The Beader’s Guide
to Color by Marge Deebs, which seems to be sending me down the right road for what I'm trying to achieve.
Based on the information I found in this book I am learning to design optical Illusions using seed beads. There is some struggle because of the bead finishes, such as matte surfaces that can appear darker and the beads with shiny surfaces can appear lighter. The effect that I am looking for in the finished piece is the illusion of movement.
I call it,BEGIN DAWN!!
